LET´S GO TO TURKEY

March arrived and we flew to Turkey. Everyone was really willing to meet and live this week in a different culture and religion to ours.

We had to fly to Istanbul and then to Samsun. Our host families were waiting for us at the airport. It was late but the emotion was so big that the tireness was not important.

We spent the first night there and the nect day we were taken to the school. There all the students were aiting for us with a lot of traditional dishes we were able to taste. Students could talk about the differences in our cuisines and dishes. Our students had a masterchef activity to introduce our typical dishes.

The headmaster welcame us and then the students gave their presentations about schools , music and folk traditions. It was such a nice morning... we were dancing the typical folk dances from our regions and countries.

The rest of the week students were able to work together in mixed international groups, discussing about our similarities and differences. We visited some mosques and they could compare our religions, the customs, the celebrations, how we bury our beloved.

Students could live the muslim religion when staying with families at home. Food, washing traditions before praying and eating etc.

We visited some nearby cities and there the students shared time together practising English and making bonds and friendship stronger.

The last day we could have lunch together and receive our certificates as we did in Italy for our participation in the project.

Students cried a lot because some of them were not coming to the last place Spain.
